Flame-Scarred Junkbox Pickpocket Fun

Pickpocket

What do you think of when you see the image above?  Do you think of picking the pockets of all these nice densely populated nagas?  If you are looking for something new to do, then step outside the auction house on your rogue.  You never know when you may be questing and run across a beautiful location like this one I found along the Souther edge of The Shimmering Expanse, Vash'jir.  There are a ton of nagas packed tightly together with some even swimming towards you.  The dense packing of mobs along with clusters of nagas together, make this a great pickpocketting location for your rogue.

Flame-Scarred Junkbox

These nagas along with many other Cataclysm humanoids have a chance to award a Flame-Scarred Junkbox.  The Flame-Scarred Junkbox requires Lockpicking to open and has a chance for some really nice items to resell.  You have a chance to find Rogue's Draught, Inscription Materials to Sell on the AH, or blue Cataclsym gems.  If you get lucky you could find one of 3 Level 85 Epic Weapons.

Kroll Decapitator
Spinerender
The Twilight Blade

These 3 epic Level 85 required weapons are Bind-on-Equip so they can be resold on the auction house.  Anyone been lucky enought to find one of these weapons yet?  They are only obtainable from within the Flame-Scarred Junkboxes.

Look for an area with a lot of mobs that are closely packed together.  This will help increase the efficiency of your pickpocketting.  Having a potion that increases swimming speed would be a great help, if underwater like in this location.  So if you are bored or looking for something new to try, then dust off that rogue and go Flame-Scarred Junkbox farming.  Maybe you will be lucky enough to find a nice epic weapon.

Do you have a great pickpocket location?

  1. Very nice tip, I know that Krol Decapitator sells for an absolute fortune on my server.

  2. The plateau where the iron dwarves and troggs are battling it out in the South West of Deepholm is a great spot. Most mobs are too busy fighting something to even be seen if you get especially careless. The pockets tend to refill by the time you work you way through them all.

The Deepholm spot is probably the best known spot due to being mentioned on Wowhead.
